Hokulani Elementary 5th Grade Portal

This portal was created for the 5th grade class of Hokulani Elementary School in collaboration with the Center for Conservation Research and Training (CCRT) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The Hokulani Elementary School 5th grade class is participating as a focus for environmental cyberinfrastructure and development of K-12 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) capacity in Hawaii schools. The collaboration between Hokulani Elementary School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, CCRT will allow students to learn in a "hands-on" research environment about aquatic and environmental cyberinfrastructure focused on the Ala Wai Watershed, while being mentored by students from AP Biology classes from Iolani School. Students will also be able to learn about cyberinfrastructure through the use of InteleView Java, an interactive global viewer created by InteleSense Technologies.  Funding for this project was provided through The National Science Foundation's EPSCoR Program (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research).
